About U.S. Compliance
U.S. Compliance (USC) is a national provider of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance services to small- and medium-sized manufacturing and distribution facilities across North America. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Excelsior, MN, USC pioneered a “Compliance as a Service” (CaaS) model that combines expert consulting, cloud-based software, and on-demand support, delivered through subscription contracts with a majority of revenue recurring. Today, more than 2,200 active facilities across industrials, metals, and food and beverage end markets subscribe to USC’s CaaS offering.
The Opportunity
USC is hiring its first Director of Technology to lead the technology strategy, systems, and infrastructure that power the business as it scales through organic growth and acquisitions. Reporting directly to Chief Financial Officer Kyle Anderson, this hire will own the internal technology environment that supports USC’s employees, clients, and the CaaS delivery model, including business systems, IT operations, data, security, and acquisition integration. USC is looking for this hire to own internal IT end-to-end: core systems, vendor relationships, and help desk support, while driving AI adoption to cut costs and save time internally.

- Report on technology performance, risk, and return on investment to the CFO, the Executive Leadership Team, and equity partners as needed
Business Systems & IT Operations
- Own the core business systems that run USC, including NetSuite and Microsoft 365, ensuring successful implementation and measurable ROI
- Drive system adoption, process automation, and data quality so teams spend less time on manual work and more time serving clients
- Establish the service model, support standards, and response expectations for a distributed workforce, including field-based EHS advisors across North America
- Ensure systems, network capacity, and tooling can absorb 20%+ YoY growth in headcount and revenue
Acquisition Integration
- Lead technology due diligence and integration for acquired companies, including systems migration, data conversion, user onboarding, and retirement of legacy tools
- Build and continuously improve a repeatable integration playbook that shortens time to value and protects continuity of client delivery and data integrity
Security, Data & Risk
- Own the cybersecurity program, including access management, endpoint protection, backup and disaster recovery, and incident response
- Establish data governance standards and maintain compliance with applicable security, privacy, and contractual requirements
Team Leadership & Vendor Management

About this role
U.S. Compliance is building its first Director of Technology role to lead the internal systems, infrastructure, and security that power a 215-person compliance services company scaling across North America. You'd report to the CFO and own everything from NetSuite and Microsoft 365 implementations to IT operations, vendor management, cybersecurity, and data governance—while helping integrate acquired companies and drive AI adoption to improve internal efficiency. This is a foundational leadership position in a private equity-backed environment where technology decisions directly affect how the company serves over 2,200 client facilities.
The role demands someone with at least five years of progressive technology experience, including three years leading teams or managing budgets and vendor relationships. You'll need hands-on familiarity with ERP platforms like NetSuite, the ability to build a multiyear roadmap aligned with business growth targets of 20%+ annually, and the judgment to establish processes and standards in a role that didn't exist before. Experience with acquisition integration—systems migration, data conversion, legacy tool retirement—is strongly preferred and will be directly applicable as USC scales through both organic growth and M&A.
This is a hybrid role based in the Minneapolis area, offering $150,000–$180,000 plus a full benefits package including health coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. It suits someone ready to move from managing technology in an established structure into building the technology function itself for a growing company.
