About this role

Langan is looking for a Senior Staff Civil Engineer to join its Tampa-area office and contribute to the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects across a diverse client base—from mixed-use developments and shopping centers to higher education and federal infrastructure work. You'll spend your time preparing engineering documents, analyzing site conditions using maps and aerial photography, and collaborating with colleagues to move projects forward using industry-standard software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and EIT certification (PE preferred), plus at least three years of hands-on experience in site design, grading, stormwater management, and drainage. Strong technical skills in the software tools and solid communication abilities matter as much as your attention to detail and ability to work within a team structure. Some travel may be required depending on project needs.

Langan operates across 50+ offices nationwide and positions itself as a firm that invests in employee development through training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing. Beyond standard benefits—medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off—the company offers professional license bonuses, educational reimbursement, and flexible scheduling. If you're looking for a structured role with clear technical responsibilities and room to build expertise in site and civil engineering, this could be a solid fit.
