This role is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer with a strong focus on water and wastewater engineering. Candidates with experience in groundwater engineering are highly desirable. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects from design through construction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, and contract documents
- Perform and/or lead construction observation and construction management activities
- Provide technical guidance and quality control throughout the design and construction process
- Support clients through bidding, contracting, and construction administration
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support permitting and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions
- Apply sound engineering judgment to address project challenges and support successful project delivery
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience
- Experience with water and wastewater engineering projects
- Strong technical, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a project environment
- Passion for learning, professional growth, and hands-on engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- AutoCAD experience
- GIS experience
- Construction observation and/or construction management experience
- Groundwater engineering experience
- Experience supporting permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction administration activities

Forsgren Associates, a recently acquired Apex Company, is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join its water and wastewater engineering practice in Laramie. You'll work on projects across the full lifecycle—from design through construction—preparing technical documents, leading construction observation, and coordinating between clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. The role demands sound engineering judgment to solve real problems and deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and compliance.
You'll need a civil engineering degree, a PE license, and at least four years of relevant experience, ideally with a background in water and wastewater systems. Groundwater engineering expertise is particularly valued. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. AutoCAD, GIS, construction management, and permitting experience will strengthen your candidacy.
