About this role

George P. Johnson Experience Marketing is looking for a CAD Administrator/Designer to join its Live Production team in a hybrid role based in one of nine U.S. cities. You'll create technical drawings and 3D models for large-scale live events—from conference stages to festivals, auto shows, and industry ceremonies—using Vectorworks Spotlight at an expert level. The work demands proficiency in 2D/3D drafting, titleblocks, records, worksheets, DWG import/export, rendering, and texturing, with Cinema 4D or Light Converse experience as a bonus.

This is a fast-paced environment where you'll juggle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. You need at least five years of CAD drafting experience in a related industry, comfort with irregular hours including nights and weekends, and the ability to travel about 10% of the time. The role values clear communication across creative, strategy, and client teams, plus the adaptability to establish efficient workflows and troubleshoot novel production challenges. You'll influence the live production process and the quality of CAD deliverables that support GPJ's experiential marketing work.

The position offers $120,000–$140,000 depending on experience and location, with benefits including an employee stock ownership plan, unlimited time off, employer-matched 401(k) with no vesting period, and low-cost healthcare. You'll need to be on-site at least two days per week.
