About this role

Compass Health Center is looking for a part-time intake therapist to conduct initial assessments and connect patients in crisis with appropriate treatment pathways. You would work Mondays and Tuesdays from 11am to 7pm in a hybrid arrangement, conducting intake evaluations, determining diagnoses and program fit, communicating with program directors about patient appropriateness, and handling insurance authorization inquiries. The role also includes screening potential intakes, charting, and facilitating group or family therapy sessions when intake volume is lower.

You'll need a master's degree or doctorate in a mental health field (LPC, LSW, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD) with at least one year of clinical experience conducting intakes and individual therapy. Prior experience in crisis settings and intermediate-level care environments like PHP, IOP, residential, or inpatient programs is required. Competency with CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based treatments is essential.

This position suits clinicians who are energized by meeting patients at a critical juncture—the intake process—and who want to work within a crisis-focused organization that fills the gap between outpatient and inpatient care. The part-time schedule and hybrid flexibility may appeal to those seeking supplemental work or a less intensive clinical commitment. Compensation ranges from $26 to $43 per hour depending on experience and credentials.
