About this role
BRPH's Phoenix-area office is looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join its electrical department as a core production contributor. You'll work on diverse, complex projects across aerospace, defense, manufacturing, commercial, and other sectors, handling the full range of electrical design work: load calculations, equipment specification and layout, power and lighting system design, grounding, fire alarm and communications systems, and construction documentation using REVIT or AutoCAD. The role includes basic electrical calculations like short circuit and voltage drop analysis, photometry work for lighting design, site visits to monitor construction progress, and quality control reviews of construction documents.
This position is structured around mentorship and hands-on training from senior engineers, making it well-suited for someone early in their career who wants guided professional development. You'll need a bachelor's degree in engineering and up to four years of relevant experience. If you've already passed the FE exam or hold your E.I.T. certification, that's a strong asset. Familiarity with NEC codes, REVIT, AutoCAD, and lighting calculation software like AGi32 will help you hit the ground running, though the firm prioritizes attitude and willingness to develop over having every tool mastered on day one. The role is full-time and based in the Phoenix office, working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
