Description

About BEAT81

At BEAT81, we’re on a mission to revolutionize fitness by merging the best of technology, group training, and expert coaching. As a rapidly growing fitness-tech startup, we empower people across Europe—and soon the world—to Sweat Smarter Together. Through innovative HIIT & RIDE workouts, real-time heart rate monitoring, and gamification, we’re transforming the traditional fitness experience into something dynamic, personalized, and impactful.

We’re not just building a global leader in fitness and technology; we’re building a world-class team. At BEAT81, we value passion, potential, and the power of fresh perspectives.

Your mission

As our Workplace Manager, you run the BEAT81 HQ as a service to everyone who works there. Your job is to make sure our people have everything they need to do their best work, and then a bit more. You'll be the first face visitors see and the person colleagues go to when they need something. You'll make sure the office feels welcoming and works seamlessly every single day, and you'll be one of the main drivers of our culture: through food and drinks, small rituals and lovingly planned moments that make people feel appreciated.

What you will do

  • Be the first smile people see at BEAT81. Welcome visitors, guests and external partners warmly, and make sure the entrance and welcome area always give a great first impression.
  • Own the day-to-day running of our HQ end to end. Make sure it's a space people love walking into: inviting, well kept and working the way it should, without other teams ever needing to step in.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers (cleaning, maintenance, catering, deliveries) so everything runs smoothly in the background.
  • Act as the go-to service partner for everyone at HQ. Take in requests, anticipate needs before they come up, and follow through quickly and reliably.
  • Make sure office rules (e.g. clean desk, kitchen etiquette, shared spaces) are actually followed, not just written down. Hold the standard in a friendly but firm way.
  • Spot what doesn't work in the office, from a broken setup to a space nobody uses, and fix or improve it before anyone has to ask.
  • Own food and beverage for the office. Go beyond stocking snacks and make it part of our culture: seasonal touches, themed moments and little surprises that spoil our people.
  • Come up with and run your own culture formats, like monthly drinks, a cozy get-together after our All Hands, or pumpkins in October. Keep asking how we can make each moment better, more personal and more fun.
  • Support the planning and running of our bigger company events, including summer community events, our winter party and our annual offsite, working closely with People, Marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Own the office, Food and Beverage and culture budgets. Plan spend, track it in real time, and find smart ways to save without lowering our standards.
  • Keep up with workplace trends and best practices, and bring fresh ideas and proposals forward yourself.

What you bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in workplace, office or facility management, ideally combined with a background in hospitality, guest relations or event coordination.
  • A real hospitality mindset. You know what great service looks and feels like, and you deliver it naturally to colleagues and guests alike.
  • A good eye for detail and aesthetics. You notice when something is off and care about how a space looks and feels.
  • Experience creating and running internal events or culture initiatives, from small get-togethers to larger company events.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle many small, fast-moving requests without losing track of the bigger picture.
  • Confidence in setting and holding standards, and in having friendly but clear conversations when rules aren't being followed.
  • Experience managing budgets and working with external vendors and service providers.
  • Fluency in English and German (minimum B2 German).

Who you are

  • A natural host: You love making people feel welcome, looked after and appreciated, and it shows in everything you do.
  • A culture driver: You don't wait to be asked. You come up with ideas, pitch them with enthusiasm and make them happen.
  • Proud of a well-kept space: You get real satisfaction from a tidy, well-run office and take ownership of keeping it that way. No task is too small when it makes the space better for everyone.
  • Proactive and resourceful: You see what needs doing before others do and find creative solutions, even on a small budget.
  • Warm, yet firm: You're approachable and people love working with you, but you hold the line on standards when it matters.
  • Always improving: You keep asking how something could be even better, cuter or more thoughtful next time.

About this role

BEAT81's Berlin headquarters needs someone who can make the office run like clockwork while turning everyday moments into culture. As Workplace Manager, you'd own everything from the welcome desk to vendor relationships, office budgets to team events—essentially running the HQ as a service operation that lets everyone else focus on their work. This means managing suppliers, handling day-to-day requests, keeping shared spaces inviting and rule-compliant, and spotting problems before they become problems.

What sets this apart is the culture piece. You're not just maintaining an office; you're actively building moments that make people feel appreciated—through thoughtful food and beverage choices, seasonal touches, monthly gatherings, and company events. You'd need 2–4 years in workplace, office or facility management (ideally with hospitality or event coordination experience), a strong eye for detail, budget management skills, and fluency in both English and German at B2 level or higher. The role calls for someone naturally hospitable, proactive, and comfortable holding standards firmly but warmly.

If you thrive on anticipating needs, take pride in a well-kept space, and genuinely enjoy making people feel welcome and looked after, this could be the right fit. The benefits include unlimited BEAT81 workouts, flexible hours, professional development support, and regular team events—perks that align with the company's fitness-focused culture.
