About this role

APL Logistics is seeking a Team Lead for its Shepherdsville contract logistics operation on the third shift. This role bridges hands-on warehouse work and frontline supervision, requiring someone with 1–2 years of warehouse experience and current forklift certification who can both perform material handling tasks and oversee a small team. You'll manage inbound unloading, outbound loading, and inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits, while also planning work schedules, training associates, and covering shift responsibilities when supervisors are absent. The position calls for someone comfortable with operational detail—reading procedures, entering data accurately, making quality decisions—and capable of communicating clearly with and leading others through demonstration.

This is an individual contributor role with junior specialist responsibilities rather than a traditional management track. You'll be expected to react to changing priorities, select from established approaches to process problems, and support your team on safety, sanitation, and quality issues. The work is hands-on and shift-based, so comfort with third-shift hours and physical warehouse duties is essential.

APL Logistics offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage, a 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program. The hourly rate is $21.00 plus shift differential.
