About this role

APL Logistics is seeking a Team Lead for its Shepherdsville contract logistics operation on the third shift. You'd oversee inbound unloading, outbound loading, and inventory control while managing a small team—scheduling work, assigning jobs efficiently, and training associates on material handling tasks. The role blends hands-on warehouse work with supervisory duties; you'll step in for senior leadership when needed and handle quality, safety, and product damage issues as they arise. This is a junior specialist position focused on process improvement within established operational frameworks.

The job requires 1–2 years of warehouse experience and 2 years of forklift or material handling skills with current equipment certification. You should be comfortable reading procedures, writing clearly, performing basic math and data entry, and communicating professionally with a team. The ability to make judgment calls on product fitness and lead others through hands-on demonstration is essential. No prior management experience is required.

APL Logistics offers $21.00 per hour plus shift differential, along with a solid benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage; a 401(k) plan with company contribution; paid time off; tuition reimbursement; and an employee assistance program. This is a full-time, in-office position in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
