The Role
We are looking for a Law School Admissions Consultant with a deep understanding of the law school admissions process. If you're passionate about mentoring and guiding future law students through law school applications, this could be the perfect fit. In this role, you'll work closely with students to build law school application strategies, refine their personal statements and application essays, prepare for law school interviews, and support them in choosing the right law schools and programs. You'll be a trusted coach throughout the law school admissions process, helping students present their strongest selves and gain admission to their top-choice law schools. This is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with prospective law school applicants, helping them strengthen their applicant profile and develop compelling personal statements, application essays, and other application materials
- Manage relationships with applicants and families while providing strategic and tactical guidance on law school selection, personal statements, application essays, resumes, recommendations, interviews, and the overall law school admissions process
- Identify optimal law schools and programs for individual students; provide feedback and guidance regarding law school research, admissions resources, and school selection based on each student's background and goals
- Support students with project planning, application timeline management, and progress tracking through internal organizational tools
- Stay up to date on the law school admissions process, admissions trends, and law school programs to advise prospective and existing students on school selection and the nuances of applying to law school
Qualifications
- Graduated from a U.S. law school
- Experience serving on a law school admissions committee, including reviewing applications and making admissions decisions
- Experience mentoring and advising pre-law students throughout the law school admissions process, particularly those applying to T-14 U.S. law schools
- Strong English reading, writing, and editing skills, particularly for law school personal statements and application essays
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple students, deadlines, and application timelines
- Passion for student mentorship and education

About this role
Inspira Education is seeking a Law School Admissions Consultant to guide prospective law students through the application process as part of their network of admissions coaches. Working remotely on a part-time, 1099 basis, you'd provide one-on-one coaching to applicants, helping them develop competitive personal statements and essays, prepare for interviews, and identify schools that align with their goals and background. You'd also manage timelines, track progress through internal tools, and maintain relationships with students and families throughout their admissions journey.
The role requires a J.D. from a U.S. law school and meaningful experience either on a law school admissions committee or mentoring pre-law students—ideally those targeting T-14 schools. Strong writing and editing skills are essential, particularly for law school application materials, along with solid organizational abilities to juggle multiple students and deadlines. You'd need to stay current on admissions trends and law school programs to offer informed guidance on school selection and application strategy.
This position suits someone with genuine interest in student mentorship who understands the law school admissions landscape firsthand and can translate that knowledge into concrete support for applicants from diverse backgrounds.
