About this role

Inspira Education is seeking an experienced physician to serve as a Senior Medical School Admissions Consultant, guiding prospective students through every stage of the application process. You'd work remotely on a part-time, 1099 basis, helping candidates develop application strategies, strengthen personal statements, prepare for interviews, and select appropriate medical programs. The role combines one-on-one mentoring with strategic advising, drawing on your insider knowledge of what admissions committees actually value.

This position requires an MD or DO and meaningful experience on a medical school admissions committee—that firsthand perspective on how applications are reviewed and decisions are made is central to the role. You'll also need 5–7 years of background in education, coaching, tutoring, or admissions consulting, along with strong writing and editing skills, particularly for personal statements and essays. Project management expertise and the ability to track applicant progress through internal tools round out the requirements.

The role suits someone who is genuinely invested in mentoring and has the communication skills to guide students from diverse backgrounds toward their best fit schools. You'd stay current on evolving admissions landscapes and help students present authentic, compelling cases for admission.
