About this role
Inspira Education is looking for a physician to guide high-achieving students through BS/MD and direct medical school applications as a part-time remote consultant. You'd work with prospective applicants on school selection, application strategy, essays, interview prep, and timeline management—drawing on your own admissions committee experience and medical degree to help students build competitive profiles and navigate a complex process. The role suits physicians who want to mentor students without full-time commitment, using your insider knowledge of what admissions committees actually look for.
The position requires an MD or DO, prior service on an admissions committee, and demonstrated experience advising students through college or medical school applications. You'll need to stay current on BS/MD and pre-med admissions trends, manage multiple students simultaneously, and communicate clearly in writing and conversation. This is a 1099 contract role based anywhere in the US or Canada, making it accessible to physicians looking for flexible, purpose-driven work outside traditional practice.
Pay for this role
The employer didn't post a pay range for this role. That usually means pay is set in negotiation, which favors whoever arrives with numbers. Check ranges on comparable BS/MD Admissions Consultant postings in your area, and analyze any offer before you accept it.
