About this role
Inspira Education is seeking a Medical School Admissions Consultant who is currently completing residency to guide pre-med and medical school applicants through the admissions process. You'd work remotely on a part-time, contract basis, helping students strengthen their profiles, craft compelling application materials, and navigate AMCAS and AACOMAS submissions. Your role spans strategic advising on school selection, essay feedback, interview preparation, and timeline management—drawing on your insider knowledge of what medical programs actually look for.
This position is designed for someone with direct admissions experience, ideally from serving on a medical school admissions committee. You'll need strong writing and communication skills to mentor students on personal statements and essays, solid organizational abilities to manage applicant timelines and tracking, and genuine enthusiasm for coaching. Staying current on evolving program requirements and admissions criteria is part of the job, so you'd be expected to maintain awareness of the landscape as it changes.
The role suits a resident physician who finds mentorship energizing and wants to give back to prospective students navigating a process you've recently completed. It's flexible enough to fit around residency demands, but requires the commitment to provide substantive, ongoing guidance to your assigned applicants.
