An overview of this role

As a GTM Recruiter you'll help GitLab build the go-to-market teams that drive our growth. In this individual contributor role, you'll partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, Field Operations, Enablement and Ecosystems and own searches from intake through close. You'll build inclusive pipelines and use data and market insight to guide hiring decisions, while growing into a trusted talent advisor.

What you'll do

  • Manage full-cycle searches for Account Executives, Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Sales Development, and Sales Operations, delivering against agreed recruiting goals and key metrics with accurate, timely documentation in Greenhouse.
  • Lead intake and kickoff conversations to align hiring teams on role scope, territory or segment, quota and ramp expectations, interview plans, and timelines, with senior team guidance as needed.
  • Partner with hiring teams on structured, equitable interviews with clear competencies and actionable feedback; challenge assumptions and escalate risks or blockers early.
  • Use talent-market research, compensation and on-target earnings (OTE) benchmarks, funnel metrics, and candidate feedback to shape search strategy and address hiring issues.
  • Assess sales candidates on track record, quota attainment, deal complexity, and experience relevant to GitLab's sales segments and approach.
  • Build research-based, diversity-focused sourcing plans that balance applicants, passive talent, referrals, internal talent, and targeted outreach.
  • Deliver a thoughtful candidate experience through disciplined pipeline management, proactive communication, timely feedback, and offer negotiations that clearly explain compensation and OTE.
  • Improve recruiting practices by sharing learnings and reusable resources, using artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly, and representing GitLab's mission, values, and culture.

What you'll bring

  • Intermediate-level recruiting experience, with a track record of owning full-cycle searches independently.
  • Sales or go-to-market recruiting experience, or a strong interest in learning sales segments, quotas, OTE, ramp time, territory design, and sales cycles.
  • Developing advisor skills: building stakeholder trust, influencing without authority, and managing hiring team expectations.
  • Experience building proactive, diversity-focused sourcing strategies and balanced pipelines.
  • A data-informed approach that turns funnel insights into practical actions.
  • Strong organization across multiple requisitions and clear written and verbal communication across time zones, with attention to detail and candidate care.
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system and recruiting tools such as Greenhouse, Metaview, LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Insights, SeekOut, or comparable platforms; ability to evaluate AI-generated work, protect confidential information, and share responsible workflows with team members.
  • Technology or business-to-business (B2B) software recruiting experience is helpful, not required.

About this role

GitLab's GTM Recruiter role centers on building the sales and go-to-market teams that fuel the company's growth. You'll own full-cycle searches for Account Executives, Solutions Architects, Customer Success managers, and related roles, managing everything from initial intake conversations through offer negotiation. This is an individual contributor position that requires you to partner closely with hiring leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other functions—translating their business needs into effective recruiting strategies while maintaining rigorous documentation and timely delivery against metrics.

The work demands both tactical recruiting skills and developing judgment as a talent advisor. You'll need to assess sales candidates on quota attainment, deal complexity, and fit for GitLab's specific segments; conduct structured interviews with clear competencies; and use market data, compensation benchmarks, and funnel metrics to shape your approach. Building proactive, diversity-focused sourcing pipelines and delivering a thoughtful candidate experience—including transparent compensation conversations—are core to the role. You'll also contribute to improving recruiting practices across the team by sharing learnings and responsibly integrating AI tools into your workflows.

Success here requires full-cycle recruiting experience in competitive markets, ideally with exposure to sales or go-to-market hiring. You should be comfortable with applicant tracking systems like Greenhouse and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter or SeekOut, and able to influence hiring teams, manage expectations, and communicate clearly across time zones. While technology or B2B software recruiting experience is helpful, what matters most is your ability to combine data-driven decision-making with strong stakeholder relationships and meticulous attention to candidate care. The role is fully remote, based in Ireland, with a US salary range of $86,400–$146,400.
