    About this role

Ascension's Milwaukee security operation needs someone to manage facility safety through active patrols, access control, and incident response across a healthcare campus. You'll investigate security events, document findings in detailed reports, maintain emergency readiness, and assist both staff and visitors. The role demands immediate action when threats or equipment failures arise.

To qualify, you'll need a valid Wisconsin driver's license and one security-related credential—either law enforcement certification, a security professional license, a Wisconsin security guard permit with weapon authorization, or a concealed carry license. All must be obtained within 90 days of your start date. A high school diploma or one year of directly relevant security experience satisfies the education requirement, though holding the required certification can substitute for either. BLS certification and training in managing aggressive behavior are preferred additions.

This is a full-time, in-office position at a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce. If you have security background or are willing to pursue the necessary Wisconsin credentials quickly, this role offers a structured entry into healthcare facility security.
