About this role
Crunchyroll is seeking a Senior Manager to lead internal communications, employee programs, and events for a global workforce of anime and entertainment fans. You'll report to the VP of Internal Communications and own the full lifecycle of high-visibility moments—from All-Staff meetings and leadership forums to cultural programs and employee gatherings—working strategically with senior leaders across the company to shape messaging, content, and employee experience.
This role demands someone equally comfortable advising executives on communications strategy and managing the hands-on details of event production. You'll write and edit employee-facing content across multiple channels, prepare executives for major moments, partner with agencies and vendors to execute complex programs, and use employee feedback to measure impact and iterate. The work spans virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats across time zones and regions, requiring you to anticipate risks, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly when circumstances shift.
You'll need at least eight years in internal or corporate communications within a global organization, with a strong track record leading high-visibility events and complex programs involving multiple teams and senior stakeholders. Excellent writing skills, experience managing budgets and production partners, and the judgment to build alignment without direct authority are essential. A background in entertainment, pop culture, or familiarity with anime and Japanese culture is a plus. The role is hybrid in Los Angeles, with travel expected, and offers a salary of $144,100–$155,000 plus performance bonus potential.
