This is a hybrid role requiring 1 to 2 days a week at our office located in Downtown, Toronto.
ABOUT THE ROLE
TripArc's travel booking platforms are used every day by thousands of travel professionals to plan, price, book, and manage trips for their clients. We're re-envisioning them as a single AI-powered platform.
We're hiring a Senior Product Manager for Trip Management, which covers everything after a client says yes. You'll own our new payments, booking, invoicing, and accounting systems, set the goals for the area, and decide what we build next to reach them. Because these systems are new, we don't have to copy how travel payments have always worked. You'll decide where AI belongs in the product, and you'll know payments well enough to tell where the numbers have to be exact.
You'll report to the Group Product Manager for Trip Management and work with a dedicated team of engineers, QA, UX, and delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set the product strategy for payments, booking, invoicing, and accounting for the next 12 to 18 months.
- Define OKRs for the area, such as payment success rate, and report progress to leadership.
- Own the roadmap: decide what to build next to move those OKRs and what to defer, using pilot feedback and production data, and explain the trade-offs.
- Find where AI can do useful work in the product that truly moves our goals and OKRs, instead of rebuilding how the old platform works.
- Make the product decisions on how money moves (deposits, final payments, refunds, credits, currencies), and record them so everyone works from the same answer.
- Lead cross-functional work with engineering, architecture, QA, UX, and delivery from problem definition to launch.
- Work with Finance, Accounting, and 24/7 support on reconciliation, statements, refunds, and audit needs.
- Plan the move of travel professionals and in-progress trips off our legacy platform.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have
- 6+ years in product management, including 3+ owning payments, billing, invoicing, or another product that handles financial transactions.
- A track record of setting OKRs and prioritizing a roadmap against them with senior stakeholders, including Finance.
- Working knowledge of the payment lifecycle: authorization, capture, deposits, refunds, chargebacks and reconciliation.
- Good judgement on where AI belongs in a money flow, knowing that amounts and ledger entries must stay exact and auditable.
- You use AI tools in your own work every day.
- Clear writing: you can turn a messy discussion into a short decision record.
- You're comfortable reading API documentation and can pull BI data to check things yourself.
Nice to have
- You've shipped a product feature built on AI or machine learning.
- Accounting knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
- Integrations with payment providers.
- Travel industry experience, especially supplier bookings and deposit schedules.
- Pricing and payments in more than one currency.
- Fraud and risk models or automated reconciliation.
- Experience replacing a legacy system while it stays live.

About this role
At TripArc, you'd own the payments, invoicing, booking, and accounting systems for a platform used daily by thousands of travel professionals across North America. This is a greenfield opportunity: rather than maintaining legacy infrastructure, you're building new systems from scratch and deciding how AI fits into money flows where precision matters. You'll set strategy and OKRs for the next 12 to 18 months, own the roadmap based on pilot feedback and production data, and lead the cross-functional team—engineers, QA, UX, and delivery—through problem definition to launch. You'll also manage the complex migration of travel professionals and active trips off the legacy platform while keeping it live.
The role demands deep payments expertise: you need 6+ years in product management with at least 3 years owning payments, billing, invoicing, or similar financial products. You should understand the full payment lifecycle—authorization, capture, deposits, refunds, chargebacks, reconciliation—and know when AI genuinely improves outcomes versus when exactness and auditability must come first. You'll work closely with Finance and Accounting on reconciliation and audit requirements, and you'll need to translate messy cross-functional discussions into clear decision records. Comfort reading API docs and pulling your own BI data is expected; travel industry experience, multi-currency pricing, ERP systems, and legacy system replacement are valuable but not required.
This is a hybrid role in downtown Toronto, paying $120,000 to $140,000 depending on experience and qualifications. It suits someone who has shipped financial products at scale, thinks clearly about trade-offs, and wants to shape how an entire product category works rather than optimize within existing constraints.
