About this role

Tenable is seeking a Federal Territory Account Manager to build and expand the company's presence within the Department of War. This role combines account management with new business development, requiring you to cultivate relationships across federal agencies while managing an existing client base through direct sales and regional marketing efforts. You'll own your territory's pipeline, identify growth opportunities through prospecting and networking, and lead a small team of inside sales representatives and sales engineers.

Success in this position demands deep familiarity with the federal sales landscape—specifically DOW agencies, compliance mandates, and procurement processes—paired with 10+ years of enterprise sales experience and a track record of closing deals at the C-suite level. You'll need strong technical literacy to translate cybersecurity solutions into business value, sharp communication skills, and proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. The role is based remotely but focuses on a specific federal territory and comes with clear quota expectations and monthly forecasting responsibilities.

This opportunity suits someone with established credibility in federal sales who understands both the regulatory environment and the relationship-building required to succeed in government contracting. The base salary ranges from $114,500 to $152,500, with variable commission and a full benefits package.
