  • Develop strategic partnerships to strengthen Ohme’s route-to-market in Switzerland
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across hardware, software, and services

  • Provide structured feedback from the market to Sales Leadership and Product teams

Who You Are

  • A senior, autonomous sales professional who thrives in a fast-moving scale-up environment

  • Commercially driven, with a consultative and partnership-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with international teams

About this role

Ohme is building the smart-grid platform connecting electric vehicles, chargers, and energy providers, and they're looking for someone to lead their entry into Switzerland. As Senior Business Development Manager, you'd own the full expansion strategy for this market—from identifying and closing deals with installers, distributors, fleet operators, and utilities, to building the partnerships that will establish Ohme's foothold in the country. The role starts remote while you help set up a local Swiss office, giving you real influence over how the operation takes shape on the ground.

You'd need at least five years in business development or sales, ideally with experience in EV charging, energy, or mobility. The Swiss market matters here—you should understand regional nuances across German-, French-, and Italian-speaking cantons, and you'll need fluency in German and French plus working English. A strong existing network in the Swiss EV ecosystem and comfort with CRM systems and structured sales processes are essential. This is genuinely independent work; you'll manage the entire sales cycle and represent Ohme at industry events, but you'll also feed market intelligence back to the international leadership team.

The appeal is straightforward: you'd be joining a fast-growing cleantech company at a pivotal scaling moment, with real autonomy to shape a new market entry and the backing of partnerships with VW, Mercedes, and Octopus Energy behind you. The role is contract-based and remote initially, with travel across Switzerland and occasional trips to London expected.
