About this role

Feldkamp Mechanical, part of Kelso Industries, is looking for a sheet metal fabricator to produce HVAC ductwork and custom components for commercial and industrial systems. You'll spend your time reading shop drawings, operating equipment like shears, brakes, plasma tables, and presses, then measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling metal to exact specifications. Quality control and accuracy are central to the work—each piece must meet project requirements and industry standards before it ships out.

This is a contract position based in Columbus, Ohio, and suits someone with hands-on sheet metal fabrication or HVAC manufacturing experience who's comfortable interpreting blueprints and working independently with tools and machinery. You'll also collaborate with supervisors and field teams to keep projects on schedule, handle material logistics, and maintain equipment. The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.

Kelso offers competitive pay scaled to experience, medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, and access to training and career development. If you have trade school training, SMACNA knowledge, or forklift certification, those are valued additions to your application.
