About this role
Working as a barista at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas means delivering premium beverage and light food service in a luxury hotel environment. You'll handle the full cycle of operations—opening and closing the coffee service area, taking orders via the MICROS system, preparing espresso drinks and coffee beverages, processing payments, and maintaining impeccable cleanliness of equipment and workstations. The role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina to stand throughout your shift, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
What sets this position apart is the service standard expected at a Ritz-Carlton property. Beyond technical barista skills, you'll be responsible for welcoming guests warmly, anticipating their needs, and representing the brand's commitment to excellence through your appearance, professionalism, and interactions. You'll also manage cash handling, reconcile your register at shift end, and follow all safety and security protocols.
No prior barista or hospitality experience is required—a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but the focus is on your ability to learn quickly, work independently during service rushes, and maintain the operational and service standards of a luxury hotel. This is a full-time, in-office role suited to someone detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to guest-focused service.
