About this role
N Family School in Grosse Pointe Farms is seeking a Front of House Manager to lead the operational and family-facing side of a licensed early childhood setting. You'd be the first point of contact for families, managing everything from daily welcomes and communications to enrollment tracking, invoicing support, and event coordination. The role requires someone who can balance warm, attentive service with strong systems thinking—keeping shared spaces organized and welcoming while handling the behind-the-scenes logistics that keep a school running smoothly.
You'll also lead and develop the School Operations team, including kitchen and cleaning staff, setting priorities and fostering a collaborative culture. This means supervisory experience or readiness is important, along with comfort managing digital platforms like Google Workspace and school management systems. The position demands flexibility with hours typically between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and you'll need to stay calm and solution-focused while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with children and families present.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in customer-facing operations, hospitality, or school settings, ideally with exposure to scheduling, enrollment, or procurement systems. State licensing requirements and background clearances are mandatory. A background in early childhood education is a plus but not required if you bring equivalent professional experience.
