About this role

You'd be managing distribution technology across a portfolio of 300 luxury boutique hotels, acting as the technical backbone that keeps revenue flowing through multiple booking channels and systems. The role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and business impact—you'll configure and troubleshoot complex hotel systems (SynXis, MARSHA, Marriott platforms), resolve escalated issues that directly affect revenue, and ensure rate integrity across OTAs, GDS, and direct channels. This is hands-on work requiring deep knowledge of hospitality tech stacks, XML, and the ability to audit systems for compliance and performance.

Beyond system management, you'll be a key support figure for hotels navigating distribution challenges, delivering advanced trainings, and mentoring interns. You'll collaborate with internal teams on revenue strategy and lead onboarding for new hotels and OTA partnerships. The work demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while communicating clearly across cultural contexts—your team spans 39 countries at Design Hotels' Berlin headquarters.

This position suits someone with at least two years in distribution, reservations, or related hospitality tech roles, plus a degree in hospitality, business, or IT. You'll need fluent English, at least one additional language, and genuine technical depth across CRS systems, connectivity protocols, and data analysis. The hybrid setup and flexible working hours (7am–9pm, Monday–Friday) offer some flexibility, though the role's escalation nature means you'll be managing complex problems independently and under pressure.
