Description
We are looking for Fellows starting in October 2026 for 6 months.
Advise. Invest. Build. Meet ALAIKA - a new kind of Financial Services firm - globally scaling, headquartered in Munich. The work is hard. The bar is high. Convince during your Fellowship and earn the opportunity to join ALAIKA full-time after graduation.
Stop reading if any of these describe you:
- You need someone to fire the starting gun → We only hire people who can prove they are intrinsically driven and execute.
- You spot the problem and walk it to your boss → We fall in love with problems. Own them. Solve them. Ship solutions.
- Slow is your default → Speed compounds. Be smart and brave enough to select 80/20 in the right way.
- "Not possible" is part of your vocabulary → We hire people who always find a way.
Still there? Then ALAIKA might be for you.
At ALAIKA, our vision is to build the future of Financial Services with three brands under one roof - Advisory (Strategy Consulting), Capital (Private Equity), Building (Company Builder). Right now, we are in the midst of building our trojan horse ALAIKA Advisory.
The ambition: building the leading Financial-Services-specific entrepreneurial holding - Fortune 500 access, PE discipline, Silicon Valley technology-depth and thinking. Three networks that compound and multiply.
- One industry. Financial Services. Nothing else.
- One focus. The intersection of business and technology - across Strategic Transformations, AI & Data Intelligence, and Cybersecurity.
- One goal. Being the go-to partner for the world's leading Fortune 500 financial services companies - and the ones we might help build into that.
Founded in October 2022 by Johanna von Geyr (build-up and led Financial Services Practice for a NASDAQ-listed strategy consultancy) and Harald Braunstein (serial entrepreneur with exits incl. IPO), we bring together deep functional domain expertise and networks in global Financial Services, with a proven track record in building, scaling, and investing in leading software product companies.

The role and what you will work on
- End-to-End Recruiting. Own parts of the full recruiting cycle - from crafting job profiles and posting ads to supporting screening, structured interviews, and onboarding. You touch every stage.
- Active Sourcing. Help build and run sourcing across LinkedIn and beyond. Find candidates who aren't looking. Learn what a real sourcing engine feels like from the inside.
- Graduate Recruitment. Help open doors to top universities. Build relationships with emerging talent.
- ALAIKA Ambassador. You are one of the first faces candidates see. Represent our values, energy, and ambition. Make it count.
- Employer Branding. Support ALAIKA's presence in the market - career events, university outreach, social media. Shape how the world sees us.
When you are a fit
“Show me an athlete who did well academically. An athlete because they know what it takes to win and they have had to experience loss.”
- Kenneth C. Griffin, Founder of Citadel
You will work alongside intrinsically driven people chasing an uncapped career - people who do "what it takes". You fear "being one more number stuck in middle management".
- Book-smart. Strong academic foundation. Think in structures, not gut feel.
- Street-smart. Read the room fast. Prioritise ruthlessly. Grasp commercial reality.
- People-smart. Communicate with precision - clear, direct, persuasive. Build trust across functions and seniority.
- Athlete performance mindset. High aspirations. Grit. Learn faster than the environment changes.
- Entrepreneurial guts. Self-confident achiever. Act first, apologise later - speed is everything. Take full ownership of work normally reserved for far more senior profiles.
What you bring
- Currently studying or graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Business Administration, HR, or a related field. Minimum 4th Bachelor semester.
- Relevant Experience. You have gained initial exposure to recruitment or HR through internships, working student roles, student initiatives, or comparable experiences.
- Recruiting is selling. Prove you could sell sand in a desert.
- Analytical Skills. Data-driven by default. Use metrics to optimize, not just report.
- Language Proficiency. Fluent in English. German and additional languages are a plus.
Why join ALAIKA
- Your launchpad. Convince during your Fellowship and earn a full-time offer after graduation.
- Stellar Network. Shoulder-to-shoulder with financial services executives running today’s giants and the founders + investors building tomorrow’s.
- Munich and Barcelona. More coming.
Plus: the essentials done right - EGYM Wellpass, bike leasing, a kitchen stocked with healthy food and team events worth showing up for: Oktoberfest, team dinners, and more.

About this role
ALAIKA Advisory is building a new kind of financial services firm from Munich, and this six-month Fellowship (starting October 2026) offers a direct path into their talent acquisition function—with the possibility of converting to a full-time role after graduation. You'll own meaningful parts of the recruiting cycle end-to-end: sourcing candidates actively across LinkedIn, screening and interviewing, managing graduate recruitment pipelines, and representing ALAIKA's brand to emerging talent. This isn't a support role; you'll be a visible ambassador shaping how the firm is perceived in the market.
The company explicitly targets people who are self-driven, move fast, and take ownership beyond what's typical for someone at your level. They want someone book-smart with a strong academic foundation, street-smart enough to read situations quickly and prioritize ruthlessly, and people-smart in how they communicate and build trust. You need recruiting experience (internships, working student roles, or similar), fluency in English and German, and the mindset of someone who sees problems as things to own and solve, not escalate.
This role suits someone currently in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Psychology, Business Administration, HR, or a related field who genuinely enjoys finding and attracting talent. You'll work alongside driven people in a high-bar environment focused on financial services and the intersection of business and technology. Beyond the work itself, you get access to a strong network of financial services leaders and founders, plus the practical perks of working in Munich—wellpass, bike leasing, team events.
