About this role
Podium is scaling rapidly in Australia and looking for a Sales Development Manager to lead and grow an SDR team focused on one of their key verticals. You'd report directly to the Head of Sales, owning the full sales motion from outbound strategy through pipeline creation and closed revenue, while coaching a largely junior team through structured call listening, shadowing, role-plays and one-on-ones. The role demands someone who thrives managing high-volume cold-calling operations, can develop early-career salespeople through hiring and onboarding, and has the coaching chops to sharpen talk tracks and objection handling across the team.
This suits someone with proven experience building and scaling junior sales teams who's comfortable getting on calls themselves and running live coaching sessions. You'll need a data-driven approach to forecasting, metrics analysis and identifying performance gaps, plus the ability to collaborate across Marketing, CX and Partnerships to refine go-to-market strategy. Experience with SMB or verticalised sales teams is particularly valued. The Melbourne office is in-person, based in Queen & Collins CBD with end-of-trip facilities and bike storage, and the package includes base salary, uncapped commission with no threshold, a $650 monthly lifestyle allowance, and regular team events.
