About this role

Graphcore is seeking a Staff System Software Engineer in Test to lead integration and system testing across firmware, device drivers, and BMC components in their AI compute hardware platform. Based in Bengaluru and working in-office, you'll own multiple test features and infrastructure while shaping test strategy for a newly formed integration team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll design and develop tests achieving near-complete coverage of complex multi-component systems, debug cross-layer issues, and mentor junior engineers—all while maintaining close collaboration with hardware and software development teams.

The role demands deep expertise in low-level system software, particularly RTOS, boot logic, Linux drivers, and server-class systems. You'll need strong test development skills in Python and C/C++, hands-on experience with hardware debuggers and CI/CD pipelines, and the ability to drive root-cause investigations to lasting fixes. Beyond technical depth, you'll be expected to communicate complex concepts clearly, review code and test design across teams, and actively raise quality standards through example and mentorship.

This position suits someone who thrives at the intersection of hardware and software, enjoys ownership of critical infrastructure, and is energized by solving intricate integration problems while building team capability.
