About this role
Grene Vision Group is seeking an optometrist to work in a medically oriented practice that bridges primary care, specialty evaluation, and clinical research. You would spend your time conducting comprehensive exams, screening and referring patients to ophthalmology specialists, performing post-operative assessments, and enrolling patients in research studies. This is a busy in-office role designed for someone who wants clinical depth beyond routine refraction—whether you're early in your career or experienced, the practice offers substantial mentorship from senior optometrists and robust staff support to help you develop expertise in medical optometry.
The position sits within EyeCare Partners, a large integrated network of over 700 optometrists and 300 ophthalmologists across 18 states. Grene Vision Group itself operates as a multi-specialty practice in the Wichita area, emphasizing coordinated care across optometry, ophthalmology, and opticianry. You'd have access to an established referral base and peer network, removing some of the isolation that can come with independent practice.
The package includes a signing bonus, competitive compensation, medical/dental/vision insurance, company-matched 401(k), paid time off, and a continuing education allowance. Wichita offers a lower cost of living than many markets, with cultural amenities, universities, and parks, and has been named an All-American City multiple times.
