About this role
CareDx is launching a new specialty pharmacy in Atlanta and seeking an experienced pharmacist leader to build it from the ground up. As Pharmacist-in-Charge, you would own the full scope of startup and ongoing operations—from securing Georgia licensure and setting up systems to hiring and supervising staff, managing inventory and budgets, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company standards. This role demands both clinical pharmacy skills and operational acumen, with responsibilities spanning prescription verification and patient counseling through quality assurance, controlled substance management, and performance monitoring.
The ideal candidate holds a PharmD, an active Georgia license, and at least five years of pharmacy experience with three or more in a management capacity. Specialty or transplant pharmacy background is strongly preferred, as is prior experience launching a pharmacy or serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge. You'll need proficiency in PioneerRx pharmacy software and Microsoft Office, along with strong leadership and communication abilities to manage competing priorities in a startup environment. The position is full-time, in-office Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional flexibility expected during the launch phase.
