Description

Customer Service Representative | Veterinary Reception

Station Plaza Veterinary Group is looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our front desk team!

As one of the first faces our clients see and voices they hear, our Customer Service Representatives play an important role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for pets and the people who love them. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping people, and know how to keep things organized when there are a dozen things happening at once, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and help create a warm, welcoming experience
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with client questions
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records
  • Process payments and assist with routine front desk transactions
  • Coordinate communication between clients and our medical team
  • Help keep the front desk organized and daily workflows running smoothly
  • Provide compassionate, professional support to clients throughout their visit
A Quick Note About the Role

This is a front desk/customer service position rather than a clinical role. Animal restraint, treatments, medication administration, and other hands-on patient care responsibilities are handled by our Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technicians.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • A compassionate, patient, and professional approach to client interactions
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn veterinary terminology, systems, and processes
  • Previous veterinary reception or customer service experience is preferred

About this role

Innovetive Petcare's veterinary reception team is the front line of client experience, greeting pet owners and their animals as they arrive and managing the steady flow of calls, appointments, and administrative tasks that keep a practice running. You'd handle scheduling, payment processing, client communication, and record management while working alongside veterinarians and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment. This is a customer-facing role, not a clinical one—the hands-on animal care falls to other team members.

The position suits someone organized and genuinely comfortable with people, who can juggle multiple priorities without losing focus. You'll need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm when things get hectic. Prior veterinary reception or customer service experience is preferred but not required; the company provides training in their systems and veterinary terminology.

The role offers $17–$19 per hour based on experience, along with health insurance (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, a 401(k) match, and pet care discounts. It's full-time, in-office work in Glen Head, New York.
