About this role

Main Street Auto is hiring a B Technician at their Saint Charles location for a Monday-through-Friday role with no weekend shifts. You'd handle the full range of automotive repair work—diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical problems, performing maintenance and inspections, and using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues across engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems. The position also involves documenting repairs, coordinating with teammates on scheduling, and keeping customers informed about their vehicles' status.

The role expects solid technical fundamentals: a high school diploma plus vocational training or certification in automotive technology, hands-on experience as a technician or mechanic, and the ability to read schematics and work with diagnostic tools. You'll need a valid driver's license with a clean record, physical capability for lifting and standing throughout shifts, and strong attention to detail. State inspection certification is preferred but not required.

Pay is $1,000–$1,200 weekly. Main Street Auto emphasizes competitive benefits and career growth opportunities alongside the straightforward appeal of a weekday-only schedule. If you're looking for steady automotive repair work without weekend commitments, this is worth exploring—particularly if you already have or can obtain state inspection certification.
