About this role
Feldkamp Mechanical, part of the larger Kelso Industries network, is hiring a Pipefitter to handle installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems across commercial and industrial projects in the Columbus area. The work centers on steam, condensate, hydronic, and process piping—including layout, fabrication, welding, and boiler-related repairs. You'll read blueprints, cut and thread pipe to spec, assemble systems, inspect for quality, and troubleshoot issues as they arise, all while adhering to safety protocols like LOTO procedures and proper PPE use.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with prior pipefitting experience in HVAC, mechanical, or industrial construction. You'll need solid welding and fabrication skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and comfort working at heights, in confined spaces, and in active construction environments—often in varying weather and noise. The position demands physical stamina: frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, and prolonged standing are routine.
Feldkamp offers competitive pay scaled to experience, medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, company-paid training, and room to advance within a stable, growing organization. The role is full-time and in-office in Columbus, with flexible hours as projects require.
