About this role

At Capital Rx's Judi Health division, this manager role leads a team of data analysts supporting the underwriting function for pharmacy and medical benefit administration. You'd own day-to-day operations for both new business opportunities and client recontracting, managing direct reports while serving as the primary technical expert for data questions across the Underwriting department. The work spans the full analytics lifecycle: collecting and cleaning pharmaceutical claims data, identifying data quality issues, troubleshooting and building infrastructure in SQL, Python, and R, and delivering ad hoc analyses that directly inform pricing and bid decisions.

The role demands strong technical depth alongside people leadership. You'll need five-plus years of data analysis experience in finance, actuarial work, or underwriting, plus hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and R—particularly for transforming and analyzing structured data in cloud environments. At least one year managing direct reports and one year working with pharmaceutical claims data are required. Beyond coding skills, you'll coordinate across multiple teams (Pricing, Clinical, Sales, Account Management), own process documentation and team training, and manage shifting priorities while maintaining quality control on all analyses.

This is a hybrid position based in Charlotte with flexibility to work from offices in NYC or Denver. The salary range for Charlotte is $125,600 to $157,000. The role suits someone with quantitative training (statistics, economics, finance, or computer science) who has progressed from individual contributor analytics work into team leadership and wants to deepen expertise in healthcare data while building and scaling an analytics function.
