About this role
Accenture Federal Services is looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain computer vision data pipelines serving US federal government clients in defense, national security, and related sectors. The role centers on designing end-to-end systems that ingest, transform, and deliver image, video, and metadata at scale—work that demands hands-on expertise with NiFi, Prefect, Docker, FFmpeg, and OpenCV, along with a solid ETL foundation. You'll optimize these pipelines for performance and cost, establish monitoring and testing practices, and collaborate with computer vision engineers and MLOps teams to keep data flowing reliably.
This is an in-office position in Tampa requiring an active TS/SCI federal security clearance and willingness to pursue additional clearance requirements. The role suits someone comfortable in fast-moving technical environments who can communicate across engineering and data science teams. Java experience, familiarity with KLV metadata extraction, knowledge of cloud platforms, or exposure to real-time video processing would strengthen your candidacy, though the core requirement is proven work building media-centric data pipelines. The salary range is $89,000–$170,200 depending on location and experience.
