About this role
Ascension's primary care clinics in Wichita are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly in patient-facing clinical support. You'll be the bridge between patients and providers, handling vital signs and health histories during intake, preparing exam rooms, assisting with treatments ordered by clinical staff, and documenting encounters and test orders in real time. The role also involves managing the operational side of clinic flow—scheduling phone consultations, filing records, and keeping treatment areas stocked.
This position requires current Medical Assistant certification before your start date and BLS certification within your first month. You'll need a high school diploma or equivalent, or one year of directly relevant work experience. It's a full-time, in-office role suited to someone comfortable with both clinical tasks and administrative coordination, working as part of a larger primary care team within one of the country's largest nonprofit health systems.
