Key Responsibilities
Specifically, you will:

About this role
Article is building out its facilities operations as it expands its retail and warehouse footprint, and this role puts you in charge of making that happen. You'll own the multi-site maintenance strategy across fulfillment centers and retail storesâeverything from material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to HVAC, fire safety, dock doors, and janitorial contracts. The work spans hands-on vendor governance and equipment oversight to longer-term preventative planning and compliance, with a clear focus on moving the company from manual spreadsheet tracking into a modern computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
You'll report to the Compliance and Maintenance Manager and work closely with safety, site, and cross-functional teams across retail, fulfillment, and finance. In your first few months, you'll establish work order protocols and material handling maintenance plans at the Jacksonville fulfillment center; within a year, you'll have streamlined vendor contracts, set clear service standards, and built a scalable foundation to support growth across North America. The hybrid arrangement is based in Jacksonville (three days on-site, two remote), with flexibility to support other locations as needed.
This role suits someone with three to five years of progressive facilities or property management experience, particularly in multi-site or warehouse environments. You'll need hands-on familiarity with CMMS platforms and material handling equipment maintenance, plus proven skill navigating vendor contracts and landlord-tenant responsibilities. Strong systems thinking, meticulous data tracking, and the ability to balance immediate operational needs with long-term strategic planning are essential.
