Position Overview

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and collaborative Master Data Analyst specializing in Data Governance and SAP to help strengthen the integrity and reliability of our enterprise master data. In this role, you’ll partner across Supply Chain, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and IT to ensure that high‑quality master data fuels efficient operations, accurate reporting, and successful product launches.

If you thrive in environments where data quality truly matters—and you enjoy improving processes as much as maintaining them—you’ll be a great fit.

What you'll do

Master Data Management

  • Create, modify, and maintain SAP master data, including Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Production Versions, PIRs, Source Lists, and variant configurations.
  • Ensure all master data follows established governance rules, standards, and naming conventions.
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating data requirements and ensuring readiness for launches.

SAP Data Governance (MDG)

  • Manage SAP MDG workflows, including change requests, approvals, data validations, and data quality rules.
  • Partner with Data Owners to identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Participate in enhancement efforts for MDG workflows, user experience, and process automation.

Data Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform regular data audits to monitor quality, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify root causes of data issues and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Track and report on master data KPIs and compliance metrics.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Training

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data governance standards and SAP master data.
  • Train and support functional teams on master data requirements, processes, and templates.
  • Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training resources.

Who you are

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Data/Information Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Master Data, Data Governance, or Data Management.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA).
  • Understanding of core Supply Chain or Operations processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP MDG and SAP Fiori applications.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance principles (data ownership, stewardship, lineage, quality, and classification).
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma, HDMS).
  • Experience in manufacturing or product‑centric environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • High accuracy and consistency in SAP master data.
  • Improved data quality trends and reduced recurring errors.
  • Positive relationships with cross‑functional teams.
  • Clear documentation and strong adoption of data governance practices.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • You’ll have a direct impact on the quality of data that powers our supply chain and product lifecycle.

  • Annual base salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
  • Bonus target range: 10% - 20%
  • Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability

About this role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Master Data Analyst to own the quality and governance of enterprise master data in SAP—a role that directly influences supply chain efficiency, reporting accuracy, and product launch success. You'll create and maintain critical data objects like Material Master, BOMs, and Routings while managing SAP MDG workflows, conducting data audits, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. Experience with SAP MDG, Fiori applications, or process improvement methodologies like LEAN or Six Sigma is valued, as is familiarity with manufacturing environments. Success in this role means delivering accurate, consistent data; measurable improvements in data quality; strong stakeholder relationships; and clear documentation that drives adoption of governance practices.
