About this role
Pivotal Solutions is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its Seattle office in a full-time, in-office role. You'll handle the technical core of tax practice—preparing complex individual and business returns, managing payroll and excise tax filings, and conducting tax research—while also stepping into a supervisory capacity by reviewing junior staff work and proposing solutions to managers on client issues. The position requires you to be comfortable with both depth (detailed return preparation) and breadth (year-end planning, client relationship support, and general administrative tasks).
To be competitive, you'll need at least two years of tax experience in public accounting, proficiency with QuickBooks and ideally LaCerte, and the ability to work without sponsorship. The role is based in Seattle with mandatory in-office presence for your first week of onboarding and at least one day per week thereafter. Success here depends on strong analytical and communication skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and a collaborative mindset—this is a team environment where ownership of your work matters.
