About this role
Pivotal Solutions is looking for an experienced accounting manager to own the core financial operations of their Indianapolis office. You'd handle balance sheet maintenance, monthly close activities, payroll processing with tax compliance, and the full accounts payable and receivable workflows—along with fixed asset tracking and expense reviews. The role also includes ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement projects, which means you'd be expected to spot inefficiencies and implement solutions thoughtfully.
This position requires seven or more years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in a fast-paced setting, plus a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. You'll need hands-on proficiency with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or comparable accounting software. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with ambiguity, takes initiative without constant direction, and has a track record of recommending and executing process improvements that work the first time. Prior startup experience is valued, as the role demands someone who can move quickly while maintaining accuracy.
