About this role
Pivotal Solutions is looking for an experienced infrastructure leader to own the full technology stack supporting their Honolulu operations. You'd manage networks, servers, and cloud environments across AWS and Azure, with particular responsibility for Office 365 administration, Okta identity management, and Meraki networking. The role demands hands-on technical depth—especially PowerShell scripting and server administration—combined with strategic oversight of external service providers and vendor relationships. You'd also drive incident response for high-severity outages, manage infrastructure budgets and forecasting, and own the continuous improvement of monitoring, provisioning, and request processes.
This position suits someone with at least five years of IT infrastructure experience, ideally including time at similarly sized biotech companies. You'll need proven expertise managing cloud infrastructure in production environments, familiarity with regulatory frameworks like FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and SOX, and a working knowledge of disaster recovery, change control, and IT service management practices. Strong communication skills—translating between technical teams and business stakeholders—and the ability to manage competing priorities across a matrix organization are essential.
The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic planning and vendor management. You'd contribute to IT vision and long-term roadmap development while staying grounded in day-to-day infrastructure delivery, security incident response, and compliance activities. This is an in-office position in Honolulu, suited to someone who thrives as both an individual contributor and a leader.
