About this role

Pivotal Solutions is seeking an Application Developer to join their Portland office in a full-time, in-office role that spans the entire software development lifecycle. You'll analyze business requirements, design and build solutions, test and debug code, and then support those systems in production. The work includes managing project timelines, maintaining existing software infrastructure, and providing direct support to end users when needed. Occasional travel to other Musco locations is part of the position.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience, with at least four years of professional software development behind them. You should be comfortable programming across multiple languages and have worked through full project cycles from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Field Services, Finance & Operations, and CRM) is valued, though not required. This role suits someone willing to work with both legacy and modern systems, who communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, and who can balance independent problem-solving with effective teamwork.
