About this role
Pivotal Solutions is seeking a Reporting Analyst to join its Information Services team in Chicago, working primarily in-office with some remote flexibility. You'll be the bridge between organizational data and institutional leadership, designing data structures and ETL processes that transform raw information from multiple sources into standardized, actionable reports. The role demands strong technical skills—particularly in SQL, Power BI, and Excel—combined with the ability to document processes thoroughly and communicate findings clearly to both technical staff and end-users.
Your day-to-day work will involve building and maintaining reports and data views, monitoring data quality across sources, and supporting power users in generating their own ad-hoc analyses. You'll also troubleshoot data integrity issues, help colleagues deploy visualizations across platforms like the company intranet, and respond to support requests through the department ticketing system. This is a position that rewards someone who is self-motivated about optimizing existing processes and takes pride in leveraging advanced tool capabilities.
The role expects a bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and at least two years in similar reporting or data work. While intermediate Power BI and SQL Server proficiency are required, preferred qualifications include experience with board-level visualizations, SharePoint integrations, Azure environments, and healthcare or academic sector knowledge. You'll need the integrity to handle sensitive institutional data responsibly and the collaborative mindset to prioritize team goals.
