BHE Renewables is seeking a Technical Specialist to manage capital projects across interstate natural gas transmission infrastructure—pipelines, compressor stations, measurement facilities, and LNG operations. You would shepherd projects from initial concept through commissioning and closeout, developing scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and execution plans. The role blends project management with hands-on engineering: you'll coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors; review technical analyses and designs; manage procurement and contracts; and track scope, budget, schedule, and risk to keep projects on track and within cost.
The position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles and the ability to solve complex, broadly-defined problems in your discipline. You'll need to communicate clearly—both in writing and graphically—to support decision-making across the organization, maintain rigorous project documentation and compliance with regulations and industry codes, and work comfortably both independently and as part of a technical team. Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with standard engineering software are essential.
Three career levels are available based on experience: Technical Specialist 1 (0–2 years), Technical Specialist 2 (3+ years), or Senior Technical Specialist (5+ years). A bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology is preferred; candidates without a degree may qualify with approximately four years of progressive, related work experience. The role is full-time and based in Bridgeport, West Virginia, requiring in-office presence.
