About this role
At The Ritz-Carlton's Kapalua property, this role centers on driving catering revenue through active business development and relationship management. You'll identify and pursue new leads, conduct sales calls alongside your team, and work to upsell opportunities that maximize the property's revenue potential. A significant part of the job involves cultivating relationships—both with existing clients and new prospects in the community—to build a pipeline of future bookings. You'll also need to understand your market, track competitor activity and economic trends, and position the property's offerings strategically against that landscape.
The operational side is equally important: you'll manage the handoff of booked business to the Event Management team, handle proposal generation and contracts, and maintain customer correspondence to ensure smooth service delivery. This requires attention to detail and strong internal coordination. You'll also represent the Ritz-Carlton brand in guest interactions, gathering feedback and modeling the service standards the property upholds.
The position requires either a two-year degree with three years of sales and marketing experience, or a four-year degree with one year in a related sales role. If you thrive on relationship-building, have a track record in sales, and want to work in a luxury hospitality setting in Hawaii, this could be a strong fit.
