About this role

Whelen Engineering's Charlestown warehouse is looking for a Shipping Associate to handle the full cycle of parts receiving, storage, and distribution. You'd spend your shift receiving inventory from multiple sources, scanning items with RF devices, maintaining organized storage, and pulling products to support assembly operations. The role involves operating material handling equipment including WAVE and JLG lifts, electrical jacks, and potentially forklifts, along with using scales and other tools to verify counts and ensure accuracy.

This is a physically demanding position requiring you to lift up to 35 pounds regularly, stand for the entire shift, and adapt quickly as priorities shift to meet customer needs. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with overtime as needed. The job calls for basic computer skills, strong communication in English, and the ability to follow established procedures while flagging issues to supervisors when they arise. If you're comfortable with warehouse operations, equipment operation, and a structured first-shift schedule, this could be a solid fit.
