About this role
Leading a Ritz-Carlton property in Bloomington requires a hands-on General Manager who can balance financial discipline with operational excellence across a 24/7 hotel environment. You'll own all daily operations—from guest room standards and facility maintenance to safety compliance and the frequent guest program—while driving revenue and controlling labor costs. This role demands strong P&L management skills and the ability to personally resolve guest complaints, meaning you'll be visible and engaged throughout the property, not managing from an office.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of limited-service management experience and preferably four years in hospitality management, with a demonstrated track record in sales and marketing. You'll need solid financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and mentor a team across all levels. The role requires comfort working in a fast-paced, demanding environment with irregular schedules—you may be called to work nights, weekends, or overtime as business demands fluctuate.
Note that you'll be employed by JR Hospitality, the independent franchisee operating this property, not by Marriott International. A valid driver's license and commitment to ongoing professional development are required.
