About this role

MissionOne Media's BarkleyOKRP Finance Team is seeking a Client Accountant to manage financial operations across assigned client accounts within a creative agency setting. You'll own end-to-end billing for agency fees, production costs, and media spend; handle revenue recognition and reconciliations; and maintain forecasts and budgets that inform leadership decisions. The role requires you to become a financial partner to Client Experience, Media, and Production teams—translating contracts into accurate job setups, catching billing errors, and providing the P&L insights that help teams understand client health and project performance.

This position suits someone with 3–4 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally from an advertising, marketing, or professional services background. You'll need strong Excel and financial systems skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with non-finance colleagues. Familiarity with job-based accounting and ASC 606 revenue recognition is expected. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

The work balances structure with variety: you'll manage recurring monthly tasks like billing and reconciliations while also reviewing contracts, monitoring receivables, supporting audits, and identifying system efficiencies. Success here means thriving on precision, building trusted relationships across teams, and taking ownership of client financial outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The role is full-time and based in Kansas City, Missouri.
