Description
Who This Role Is For
You're a licensed associate therapist (LMHCA or LCSWA) in North Carolina who's already accruing post-graduate clinical hours toward full licensure and wants a part-time remote caseload that matters. You want free supervision, a schedule that fits your life, and none of the administrative burden that slows most early-career clinicians down. Daybreak was built for exactly this stage of your career.
What Makes This Different
- Free supervision — weekly 1:1 and group supervision, fully covered
- Guaranteed pay for late cancellations and no-shows
- $35/hr individual sessions (12+) | $45/hr family therapy
- Part-time W2 position — real employment benefits, not contractor instability
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in North Carolina
- Mon–Fri 3–8 PM schedule — predictable, school-aligned hours
- No billing, no credentialing, no admin — we handle everything
- 90% of students say we matched them to the right clinician
The Work
You'll provide evidence-based teletherapy to K–12 students across North Carolina, collaborating with school counselors and families statewide. You'll participate in weekly individual and group supervision, case consultations, and contribute to clinical program development.
What You Need
- Active LMHCA or LCSWA license in North Carolina (required — we are not able to hire other license types at this time)
- Post-graduate clinical hours already accrued toward full licensure (required — this role is best suited for associates who are actively logging supervised hours, not candidates just beginning their post-graduate track)
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged youth and families
- Comfortable with telehealth and EHR systems
- Available Mon–Fri 3–8 PM
Preferred
- Experience in CBT, DBT, or similar modalities
- Prior school-based or youth-focused experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English fluency
- Active NPI and CAQH
About this role
Daybreak Health is hiring a part-time remote therapist to provide teletherapy to K–12 students across North Carolina. You'll work a predictable 3–8 PM schedule Monday through Friday, seeing individual and family clients at $35–$45 per hour depending on session type. The role is designed specifically for licensed associates (LMHCA or LCSWA) who are actively accruing post-graduate clinical hours toward full licensure—Daybreak handles all billing, credentialing, and administrative work so you can focus on clinical practice.
What sets this position apart is the built-in support structure: you'll receive weekly individual and group supervision at no cost, participate in case consultations, and contribute to clinical program development. You're guaranteed pay for late cancellations and no-shows, and you'll work as a W2 employee with real benefits rather than as a contractor. The company reports that 90% of students are matched successfully with their clinician.
You'll need an active North Carolina LMHCA or LCSWA license and documented post-graduate clinical hours already underway. Experience or genuine interest in working with school-aged youth and families is essential; comfort with telehealth and EHR systems is required. Prior experience in CBT, DBT, school-based settings, or bilingual Spanish/English capability would strengthen your candidacy.
