About this role
Industrial Electric Manufacturing is seeking a Team Lead for its second shift in Jacksonville, Florida—a hands-on supervisory role that bridges production work and team management. You'll lead a small team of 8–10 operators or technicians while remaining actively involved in daily assembly tasks, ensuring work meets takt time, quality standards, and safety requirements. The position demands someone who can coach peers informally, coordinate material and tools, run brief team huddles, and escalate issues before they disrupt flow or compromise quality.
This role suits someone with at least two years of manufacturing or assembly experience who has proven reliable and collaborative in a production environment. You'll need a solid grasp of standard work principles, takt time, and quality expectations, plus the communication skills to lead by example rather than authority. Experience with Lean tools like 5S, visual management, or work instruction systems is valued but not required; what matters most is your willingness to support and develop others while staying productive on the line yourself.
