About this role
Clēnera's Asset Management Intern role offers a structured entry point into utility-scale renewable energy operations. You'll work directly with the Portfolio Operations team on a paid 12-week summer program, handling the data collection, reporting, and analysis that keeps solar and storage assets performing at peak efficiency. The work spans contract compliance, financial monitoring, vendor coordination, and process improvement—giving you visibility across how a major power producer actually runs its portfolio.
This role suits undergraduates (ideally entering their final year) with a foundation in business, economics, engineering, or operations, plus basic familiarity with solar projects and financial concepts. You'll need solid Microsoft Office skills, the ability to learn proprietary software quickly, and strong written and verbal communication. The position rewards self-motivation and attention to detail; you'll juggle competing priorities while identifying operational improvements and maintaining records across multiple systems.
If you're drawn to renewable energy and want hands-on experience in asset operations rather than development or sales, this internship provides meaningful work alongside experienced professionals in Boise. The role assumes you can think critically about process gaps and collaborate across departments—hallmarks of how Clēnera describes its culture.
