About this role

Trilon Group is seeking a Structures Engineer with 7 to 10 years of design experience to lead structural work on heavy civil and municipal projects across the Southwest. You'll design and analyze vertical structures—including concrete vaults, culverts, retaining walls, foundations, and specialty components—using industry-standard software like STAAD, Enercalc, and L-Pile. The role involves preparing construction documents, cost estimates, and specifications for local agencies, state DOTs, federal projects, and developers, often as the structures lead coordinating smaller project teams within a multidisciplinary environment.

This position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering and PE licensure or the ability to obtain it within a year. You'll work in-office in Phoenix on a full-time basis, with some travel and potential workshare with other offices. The firm values client relationships and regional presence, so experience with local DOT contacts or Design Build delivery is advantageous. Compensation ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, with a notable comp time policy allowing overtime hours to be taken as additional pay or PTO. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, generous paid time off, a 401(k) match up to 6%, professional development funding, and paid professional memberships and licensure support.
